The Angel of Roses is a hymn to new life. I imagine that as a child form within the mother’s womb, an angel watches over it in a hidden garden of roses, where light shimmers like whispers and butterflies carry the soft music of the soul. In a dream, I glimpsed this secret world—an angel cradling the child inside a rose, surrounded by a spectrum of colors that seemed to hum with life itself. That vision lingered within me, returning like a gentle refrain, until I could finally bring it to form on canvas. This painting is also a quiet remembrance of my brother Leo, who left the world too soon. In its blossoms, his memory lives—a tender presence among the roses, eternal and luminous. |
